Chic Dambach was a Senior Consultant with BoardSource (the National Center for Nonprofit Boards), and he continues to advise nonprofit organizations on effective governance and strategic planning.  His clients have included NAFSA, Forgiveness International, Charity and Security Network, United Way of America, Keep America Beautiful, Phi Beta Kappa, Junior Achievement, Special Olympics, Red Cross, Amnesty International USA, and other national and international organizations as well as dozens of local organizations. His consulting firm Dambach & Associates has helped dozens of arts councils, environmental centers, colleges, chambers of commerce and other nonprofits evaluate and improve their organizational operations and resource development capacities.

He conducts workshops to build positive and productive board and staff relations, strategic planning retreats and fundraising training for the board and staff.  His book Structures and Practices of Nonprofit Boards is a mainstay in the popular BoardSource Governance series, and based on his extensive training sessions with the executive staff of Fleet Financial in Boston, he co-wrote The Business Professional’s Guide to Nonprofit Board Service.  He continues to be a contributing writer forBoard Member, the journal of BoardSource.
